WATCH: Jazz rookie Donovan Mitchell’s vicious putback dunk vs. Rockets

Donovan Mitchell, Clint Capela

After falling in Game 1, the Utah Jazz came back and defeated the Houston Rockets in Game 2 of their second round series. The Jazz led by as many as 19 points in the first half, but Houston stormed back to take the lead in the second half. Led by Donovan Mitchell and Joe Ingles, the Jazz fended off the Rockets to win Game 2 and tie the series at 1-1.

When the Rockets were making their run, the rookie Mitchell stopped it with a nasty putback dunk off his own missed shot.

Mitchell finished with a playoff career-high 11 assists to go along with 17 points and five rebounds. Ingles finished with a playoff career-high 27 points and seven three-pointers on nine attempts from beyond.

The Jazz now head home to Salt Lake City to play Games 3 and 4 on Friday and Sunday night. The likely 2018 MVP in James Harden and his Rockets won’t bow out by any means, so it’ll be another battle to the end in Utah. Their rowdy fanbase is also ready to help carry their team over the edge and hopefully to the Western Conference Finals.
