The Golden State Warriors just can’t stop winning. Even without Kevin Durant, who sat out Thursday’s game with a calf issue, the Warriors still managed to take down the Houston Rockets on the road, 124-114.
Things were not looking too good for the Warriors at the half, however, as the Rockets were up by a point at the end of two quarters, 63-62. But for anyone who is familiar with Golden State, they knew better than think the Warriors would succumb in that game even against a stacked team like Houston.
In fact, mathematically, the Warriors had a 97 percent chance of beating the Rockets despite trailing at the half. In the last 60 games by the Warriors in which they racked up at least 60 points in the first half, they won 58 of those. The two losses were to the Memphis Grizzlies and, coincidentally, to the Rockets earlier this season.
Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson led the way for the Warriors, scoring 29 and 28 points respectively. Together, the Splash Brothers went 10-of-19 from beyond the arc. Also worth noting was Draymond Green’s historic triple-double performance of 17 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists.

As usual, crisp passing defined the Warriors’ offense in this game. They had 35 assists compared to the Rockets’ 20. The Warriors also feasted in the shaded area with 56 points in the paint and outscored the Rockets on the fastbreak, 9-2.
Now on a three-game win streak, the Warriors will look to continue their winning ways in Hollywood this Saturday against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Warriors are 9-0 in their last nine games.
