Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green had yet another controversial eye poke, as he got Houston Rockets guard James Harden across both eyes when hoping to tap away a rebound to a teammate. Harden immediately went to the ground and stayed there for a minute before being helped to the locker room.
Green approached him to apologize for it as he headed out of the court with the trainer.

“I made a mistake and hit him in his eye,” Green said, according to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon. “Just [wanted] to check on him. It’s not about hurting anybody out here. So many times, people forget that when a guy [has] an injury, you live with that every day, every second of every day. It’s not just about this game.”
Green also had a similar incident with LeBron James during their long playoff battles last season, though neither of them appeared intentional.

Harden suffered all game long due to the irritation from eye drops to clear his vision, along with the bright lights of Oracle Arena and the flash of the countless cameras surrounding the sidelines that certainly didn’t make it easier for the reigning MVP.
Despite of it, Harden led his team with 29 points on 9-of-19 shooting, bouncing back from a poor-shooting Game 1 and giving his Rockets a fighting chance in this game.
There is no love lost between these two teams, but Green likely regrets striking him in the face, even if it was indeed unintentional.
