Warriors’ Andre Iguodala upgraded to questionable vs. Rockets

Andre Iguodala

Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala has been upgraded to questionable after sustaining a left lateral leg contusion in Game 3 against the Houston Rockets, according to Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated.

Iguodala seemed to knock knees and shortly after headed to the bench after suffering the injury, but his X-rays confirmed no structural damage.

The Warriors are likely to give him a rest tonight, given that the series will only have a day of rest between games, likely choosing to play the long stretch and save him for another day.

Golden State could plug in Nick Young to keep the smaller lineup with a healthy dose of outside shooting, or opt to reward Kevon Looney for an excellent defensive series, plugging him into the power forward or center position — as Draymond Green likely still drawing the matchup to neutralize Clint Capela from the offensive glass.

If Iguodala is absent from today’s game, it would put an end to The Hamptons Five lineup appearing in five straight games, dating back to the Western Conference semis against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Iguodala’s full status is likely to be determined prior to tip-off, allowing him to go through pre-game shootaround to test his condition.
