Video: Warriors’ Stephen Curry loses his mind after Klay Thompson’s 3-pointer
Klay Thompson got into one of his mini hot streaks after splashing home two consecutive three-pointers to give the Golden State Warriors a 15 point lead in the third quarter of Game 2 against the Houston Rockets. The two bombs from Thompson fired up the loud Oracle Arena crowd. However, no one was more elated with Thompson’s consecutive hits than his fellow Splash Brother, Stephen Curry.

Curry was saddled with foul trouble for the second straight game in this series, so he had no choice but to watch the third quarter from the sidelines. Nevertheless, the two-time MVP was more than happy to watch his fellow Splash Brother go to work.
Thompson finished the night with 21 points on 8-of-18 shooting – including three 3-pointers – to help Golden State secure the 115-109 Game 2 victory. Apart from his massive hits in the third, the two-wag star also played tremendous defense on the Rockets guards throughout the night. He also made a couple of hustle plays highlighted by a crucial interception late in the fourth quarter.
Curry, who injured his finger earlier in the first quarter, was still able to chip in 20 points, but shot just 3-of-13 from deep.
Warriors fans held their breath for a second after Curry appeared to have badly dislocated his finger after attempting to steal the ball. Fortunately, he was able to return to the game after getting his fingers taped up in the locker room.
Nevertheless, the Warriors were able to use a balanced attack to fend off the Rockets as their entire starting five scored 15 points or more in Game 2.
Golden State will look to carry their momentum into Houston for Game 3 and take a commanding 3-0 lead in this series.
