Video: Trevor Ariza dangerously locks Meyers Leonard’s leg

With basketball being a contact sport, injuries often happen, as well the sight of players being highly physical during games. Saturday night was no different, as the Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers had a very competitive game, which included some players getting entangled.

Trevor Ariza was one of them, as he was seen locking Meyers Leonard’s leg, and did not let go of it, making him very susceptible to suffering an injury. The Blazers big man tried to free himself, but his leg was stuck in between the Rockets swingman’s right arm and leg.

The good news is that Meyers Leonard was not hurt in the play, and both players did not get involved in an altercation either. The Rockets ultimately won on the night, 124-117, extending their winning streak to nine games now, and further improving on their record of 20-4.

With both teams scheduled to play three more times in the regular season, it will be interesting to see what kind of adjustments they will make, knowing how physical their meetings can be.
