Video: The Professor teaches James Harden the teleporting move

Rockets, James Harden, The Professor

Houston Rockets All-Star James Harden has established himself as one of the best ball handlers in NBA history, but the move he recently learned from The Professor could take his game to another level.

The Professor, also known as Grayson Boucher, is a legendary ball handler in his own right. Most hoops fans will remember his highlights from the And1 Mixtape Tour, where he crossed up countless players.

As part of a promotion for NBA Live 19, Boucher paid a visit to the Toyota Center, where he got an opportunity to share his “teleportation” move with Harden.

Prior to their meeting, Harden revealed that he has always been a fan of the And1 videos:

“I watched all of the And1 mixtapes,” James Harden said. “When I was in AAU, we were sponsored by And1, so we got all of the tapes. I’ve been in that culture, but there was never a transfer. You were either a street ball player or you were a pro. It’s like battle rapping and regular rapping. They say you can’t cross over, but you can.”

Following their quick discussion, The Professor began teaching Harden the “teleport” move that he often uses on the perimeter. In just three attempts, The Beard learned a deadly new move:

Harden, who says he likes the new move, is on a tear this season. The reigning league MVP has scored 30 or more points in 30 consecutive games — a feat only surpassed by the great Wilt Chamberlain. Whether or not he’ll bust out his new skill in an actual Rockets game remains to be seen.
