Russell Westbrook joined the Rockets this summer, reuniting with former Oklahoma City Thunder teammate James Harden. Tuesday marked their first game together on Houston’s roster, and the dynamic duo put on quite a show.

Though the Rockets were defeated by the Toronto Raptors in Tuesday’s matchup, 134-129, Harden and Westbrook proved that they still share great chemistry on the court.

Harden was hot early. In fact, The Beard made his first six shots. In 27 minutes, he racked up 34 points on 11-of-14 shooting from the field (4-of-7 from beyond the arc), seven assists, two rebounds, one block and one steal.

Westbrook, on the other hand, logged 21 minutes, scoring 13 points on 4-of-10 shooting (1-of-6 from downtown), six assists, two rebounds, one block and one steal:

Westbrook noted that it was good to get up and down the floor with his new team, despite the fact that they lost:

“It wasn’t bad,” Westbrook said via ESPN. “Unfortunately, we didn’t win. That’s the main goal. But it was good to get on the floor for the first time, get up and down, try to find a rhythm. We’ve got a lot of work to do.”

The Rockets and Raptors are scheduled to meet for a second game in Japan on Thursday morning. Tip-off is set for 6:00 a.m. ET, with NBA TV having live broadcast coverage.
