Video: Rockets’ James Harden says he was on ‘attack mode’ all night

James Harden, Rockets

James Harden was once again phenomenal for the Houston Rockets, as he scored 61 points, to go along with seven rebounds and three steals to lead the team to a 111-105 victory over their Texas rivals, the San Antonio Spurs.

After the game, the reigning league MVP was asked what he felt after scoring 61 points, and Harden said he felt pretty good right from the get-go.

“I felt great the beginning of the game. I was in attack mode, my shots were feeling good. I just kept that rhythm and that pace the entire game. The Spurs did a really good job of taking away my perimeter shots so it was me being in attack mode and being aggressive tonight.”

Harden shot 19-34 from the field (55.8 percent), including 9-13 from beyond the arc. He was unstoppable especially in the crucial moments of the game.

It is clear that Harden is on a mission to finish what they’ve started last season, and that is to win a championship. He’s willing the team to victories night in and night out, and no matter what opposing teams tried to do, they had very little success in containing the All-Star guard.

The Rockets will once again be the favorites this season, and barring any injuries, they are expected to once again challenge the Golden State Warriors for the supremacy in the Western Conference, and probably in the league as well.
