VIDEO: Rockets’ James Harden reacts to missing new career high by 2 points

James Harden, Rockets

Houston Rockets fans who flocked to the Toyota Center just saw one of the most incredible individual efforts from James Harden. He put on a great shooting display en route to the fourth 60-point game of his career.

However, Harden was pulled out of the game before he could get a new career-high 62 points. James understandably was happy by his performance, but you can see the disappointment on his face once he realized he was this close to beating a personal best.

The Beard’s career high is 61 points, which he made during a match with the New York Knicks last January.

This exasperated expression is one Harden is familiar with, but it’s usually plastered on his opponents. The Rockets star and former MVP is one of the deadliest finishers in the NBA, and his numbers back him up. Prior to Saturday’s matchup, he was averaging an insane 37.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 7.8 assists on 43 percent shooting and a 34 percent from deep.

It’s disappointing for Harden that he missed out on making a new record, but there is still plenty of basketball left for him to try again.
