Video: NBA Legend Jerry West speaks to Rockets’ James Harden, Russell Westbrook pregame vs Clippers
Few things can faze NBA superstars like James Harden nowadays. But it’s a safe bet to think that even he will be fazed even for just a little bit if The Logo was the person who talks to him. The Houston Rockets were playing the Los Angeles Clippers for their first preseason game, so it’s natural that NBA legend Jerry West was in attendance. The executive board member for the Clippers got to Harden and teammate Russell Westbrook and talked to them for a good while.

We may never know what West told the two stars. While tampering jokes may fly across the internet, the faces on either of them cannot deny the awesomeness of the situation.
In fact, the experience probably inspired Harden to a masterful showing, winning the game while scoring 37 points for Houston.
Jerry West is a legend in the basketball world. He spent his entire career with the Purple and Gold. He was an All-Star in all his 14 years with the Lakers and was an easy selection for the Hall of Fame. He was so good that he was immortalized into the iconic NBA logo.
Harden and Westbrook are no slouches either. The Brodie has been a walking triple-double with career averages of 23.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 8.4 assists. Meanwhile, the Beard is a lethal scoring weapon who averaged 36.1 points a game last season.
The season is set to be an exciting one for Houston fans. And they’re probably thankful that West gave them words of encouragement ahead of the season.
