Video: James Harden tries to join Utah huddle, Joe Ingles welcomes him

James Harden casually walked with the Utah Jazz’s Joe Ingles as the latter’s team entered a quick huddle. In an unexpected turn of events, Ingles put his arm around the Houston Rockets star and let him in.

Below is the clip as posted by Rob Perez:

Harden simply wanted to listen in on what the Jazz might have in store next. They were down by 10 points at that moment, with just under three minutes to go in the fourth quarter. Harden could use any piece of information he can get, for it may propel them to a comeback. But as observed, Harden walked away just a few seconds after. Maybe he could’ve stayed much longer.

The Jazz stole the game at the Rockets’ home, 116-108. Harden had a relatively poor shooting night: 9-of-22 from the field for a mediocre 40.9 percent. He was just 2-of-10 from downtown. He finished with 32 points, six rebounds, and 11 assists.

For his part, Ingles had a terrific performance. He led the Jazz in scoring with 27 points, along with three rebounds, and two assists. He shot 76.9 percent from the field. The most impressive feat in his stat line is the seven 3-pointers he drained out of nine attempts.

The series is now tied at one game apiece. It’s a big win for the Jazz, especially since they’re considered the underdogs in this series. They really have nothing to lose.

The Rockets, meanwhile, need to gather quickly. Their superstar Harden clandestinely disappears on the big stage. He’s destined to be crowned the MVP this season. But no one will consider his award legitimate unless he performs well in the playoffs.
