Video: James Harden hands out game-worn shoes to fan after Rockets win over Raptors

James Harden, Rockets

After a great win over the Toronto Raptors, Houston Rockets All-Star James Harden gave his game-worn shoes to a lucky fan.

The fan was obviously delighted that Harden noticed him among the dozens of fans waiting for the reigning MVP as he heads to the locker room.

James Harden led the Rockets to their sixth straight win. The 29-year-old scored 35 points (12-of-30 from the field, 3-of-9 from downtown, and 8-of-8 from the charity stripe). Other contributors include Gerald Green who had 18 points and Austin Rivers and Eric Gordon who dropped 13 points apiece.

It was a great win for the Rockets over a playoff-caliber team. They now have a 39-25 record for third place in the Western Conference. Perhaps, it’s safe to say that after a tumultuous start, the Mike D’Antoni-led squad has finally figured things out.

Thanks to Harden’s offensive outbursts earlier in the year, the Rockets were able to keep their head above water. To recall, they missed the services of Clint Capela and Chris Paul who were out due to separate injuries.

There are still plenty of concerns whether the Rockets’ offense — which revolves around Harden’s iso-ball playstyle — can win them a championship. However, the team continues to prove that they can take down other contenders with what they have.

With a healthy lineup, the Rockets are clicking on all cylinders and are playing team basketball. It would be exciting to see if they can sustain this momentum come playoff time.
