Video: James Harden, Chris Paul, Jazz’s Donovan Mitchell, Royce O’Neale working out together

James Harden, Chris Paul, Donovan Mitchell

We usually see NBA players battle it out with each other. But since it’s the offseason, most NBA players train with their fellows, even if they’re from different teams. A video has resurfaced featuring James Harden and Chris Paul of the Houston Rockets training with Donovan Mitchell and Royce O’Neale of the Utah Jazz.

Check out the video below by tpizzzle as posted by the House of Highlights:

As observed, the athletes were showcasing their respective signature moves. Harden lashed out a complete arsenal of dribbling maneuvers before faking out Mitchell then nailing the wide open jumper. Against his teammate Paul, Harden freed himself up using his trademark stepback.

Mitchell, for his part, showed his lighting quickness and shooting ability with the pull-up jumper. O’Neale, meanwhile, kept it simple. Guarded by Paul, he drove past him and ended with a scoop layup. And finally, Paul stared at Mitchell, leaned back, then nailed a jumper — like what he usually does against most defenders. It doesn’t matter if he’s just six feet tall.

What we see are the highlights. Fans rarely get a glimpse of NBA players putting in some work in empty gyms, doing some dribbling exercises, 1-on-1 scrimmages, and the like. So it’s always a treat to see our favorite NBA players outside the limelight. It’s just them, the basketball, and a couple of good friends.
