Video: Dwight Howard goes coast-to-coast for dunk vs. Rockets

Dwight Howard

Following eight seasons with the Orlando Magic, Dwight Howard has since played for four teams in the last six seasons. Fortunately for the 32-year-old, Howard reunited with head coach Steve Clifford after the Atlanta Hawks traded him to the Charlotte Hornets during the offseason.

To begin the 2017-18 NBA season, Howard is quietly having a strong season, averaging 16.0 points and 12.2 rebounds. Against his former team, the Houston Rockets, Howard went coast-to-coast for a dunk in the first quarter according to The Crossover:

Since his time in Orlando, it appears Howard has finally found a new home in Charlotte after unsuccessful stints with the Los Angeles Lakers, Rockets, and Hawks. While the 32-year-old is clearly not the same player he once was, the Hornets are featuring him in their offense and value his rim protection.

For the Hornets, they have gotten off to a poor start with a surprising 10-16 record. However, with Howard and Kemba Walker, they will have their opportunities in the Eastern Conference as they are currently 3.5 games back of the Detroit Pistons for the eighth spot.
