Video: Chris Paul fakes tying his shoe to set Rockets’ defense
Houston Rockets superstar point guard Chris Paull pulled off another veteran move for the books on Tuesday against the Golden State Warriors.
After sinking his first free throw deep in the fourth quarter, the 33-year-old pretended to tie his shoe in order to call his teammates into an impromptu huddle to discuss their next defensive play:

It was a pretty sneaky move from Paul, and it looked like he pulled it off as he was able to call his teammates’ attention for a brief discussion. I don’t think we’ve seen this specific tactic used of late, and I guess credit needs to be given to Paul for this nifty little trick.
The Rockets were down double digits at that point, and although they were able to close the gap, they would eventually fall short. The Warriors pulled off a 115-109 victory in Game 2, as they have now secured a 2-0 lead in this second-round playoff matchup.
Kevin Durant was dominant yet again, scoring 29 points, along with three 3-pointers, five rebounds, four assists, a steal, and two blocks. The Splash Brothers, Stephen Curry (20 points, three 3-pointers) and Klay Thompson (21 points, three treys), were also on point in this one as they helped their side to a crucial win against their rival.
Rockets superstar James Harden was likewise his usual self, as the MVP candidate accounted for 29 points, seven rebounds, and four assists, while Paul himself (18 points, seven rebounds, six assists) also did his bit for the Rockets.
The series now shifts to Houston, with the Rockets basically in a must-win scenario for Game 3 on Saturday.
