Video: Chris Paul destroys Jalen Jones’ ankles twice

Chris Paul

In case you forgot, Houston Rocket guard Chris Paul has the ability to break any defenders’ ankles. Here he is nearly causing New Orleans Pelicans forward Jalen Jones’ ankles to burst by busting out a mini-Shammgod crossover dribble during Monday night’s match against the New Orleans Pelicans at home.

And to top it off, he drained a buzzer-beating trey to end the third quarter and cut down the Pelicans’ lead.

Now that’s how you do The Shammgod, Mr. Dirk Nowitzki.

But wait, there’s more. The Rockets point guard toyed with Jones’ ankle in a separate play too.

Chris Paul missed 14 games early this season due to a knee injury, but he’s clearly healthy now and back to his old self as evidenced by the excellent moves he made against Jones.

Paul entered the game averaging 14.3 points, 9.8 assists, and 4.6 rebounds per game, and is looking to be a great fit for the Rockets despite the presence of another alpha in the form of James Harden.

The Rockets managed to complete their comeback against New Orleans, eking out a 130-123 win to extend their unbeaten streak to 10 games. Paul finished the contest with 19 points, five assists, eight rebounds, and three steals across 30 minutes of action.

Chris Paul and the 20-4 Rockets next face the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday.
