Video: Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony, Donovan Mitchell show up to Dwyane Wade’s workout

Miami Heat icon Dwyane Wade is still mum about his decision to potentially retire from the NBA, but given the plethora of talent showing up for his workout, it’ll be hard to see a competitor call it a career with such fierce competition. The likes of Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony, C.J. McCollum, Donovan Mitchell, and other stars were out there to get some runs along with him at the D-Wade Invitational.

Wade doesn’t look too shabby in this video, getting a few blocked shots on Paul and McCollum, while giving Anthony a taste of old flavor with his patented rhythm step-back jumper. Classic as maple syrup.

Others like Jahlil Okafor and Austin Rivers (yes, Austin Rivers and Chris Paul in the same building) were there to get a few games of one-on-one action, collecting perhaps some of the best artists of the iso game in the league.

With fun like this, who would want to retire?

Wade is reported to be “seriously” considering the idea of retirement after coming off the bench for the near-entirety of his 15th NBA season, now likely only a bench cog for the Heat.

President Pat Riley has talked him up to be a “valuable” piece for this roster, but Wade might need some more time to make that decision before putting more toll on his 36-year-old legs.
