VIDEO: Anthony Davis, Robert Covington get into scary, bloody on-court collision

Lakers, Anthony Davis, Robert Covington, Rockets, , NBA

Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis and Houston Rockets swingman Robert Covington figured in a hard collision in the fourth quarter of Game 3 of their NBA Western Conference semis showdown.

The play was stopped at the 4:37 mark of the final period after Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma appeared to slightly push off Covington as he rammed into Davis’ elbow. The Rockets forward got all bloodied up after the play and stayed on the floor for several minutes.

Davis also appeared pretty shaken up and held his right hip in pain.

Here’s the ugly sequence during the highly physical NBA showdown:

The Lakers were up 101-89 at the time of the hit and appeared in control of the ball game. Fingers crossed that both players did not suffer any major injuries.
