Stephen Curry might wear throwback 2015 Curry 1s for Warriors’ Game 6 vs. Rockets
Stephen Curry is in dire need to invoke the powers of his former MVP self to close out a daunting Game 6 on the road against the Houston Rockets. Due to the magnitude of this game, the Golden State Warriors point guard admitted that wearing his original Under Armour Curry 1 shoes to practice was no accident, and that he might even wear them in-game, according to Dieter Kurtenbach of the San Jose Mercury News.

It was this very pair that Curry wore on a championship-sealing victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers and the ones that ultimately helped him bury a barrage of filthy jumpers over Matthew Dellavedova — ones framed in the pantheon of memories of his rise as a star in the NBA.
The “Splash Party” colorway, which was released in December of 2014 — had a massive appeal during and after the playoffs, with a silver heel plating and a gold trim to accentuate the Golden State uniform colors.
Curry tried to stay coy about his motives, but ultimately admitted this was no accident, as he must channel his former scoring assassin spirit to take down the Rockets in their own home floor without Kevin Durant.
The Splash Brothers will need to put on a Splash Party in this game to take out the Rockets, or risk snapping their NBA-record 20 straight postseason series with a win on the road.
Both teams have won their respective games at home, and a 3-2 lead has never been this unsafe for a No. 1 seed at this point of the postseason.
