Rumor: Lakers, Sixers, Spurs pursuing Luc Mbah a Moute

Luc Mbah a Moute

Unrestricted free agent forward Luc Mbah a Moute has several teams looking for his services.

The San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers, L.A. Clippers, Washington Wizards and the Philadelphia 76ers are vying for his services, along with the Rockets, who are hoping to bring him back, according to Colton Jones of Amico Hoops.

The three-and-D asset was signed by the Houston Rockets last season after they were left with a hollowed out roster after the trade for Chris Paul — one that sent seven players in total to the L.A. Clippers.

Mbah a Moute posted 7.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 25.6 minutes per game with the Rockets. The 31-year old logged 15 starts through 61 appearances for the Rockets last season, shooting 48.1 percent from the field and 36.4 percent from deep.

The Cameroonian offers a unique skillset with his length at 6-foot-8 and 230 pounds, able to hound players on the perimeter and hold his own against some big men in the league.

His new-found ability to shoot the three makes him a plug-and-play in any system, a trait the Golden State Warriors have coveted closely, as they look to fill their last roster spot coming into this offseason.
