Rockets’ Trevor Ariza back in full capacity with the team

On Friday afternoon, Houston Rockets veteran small forward Trevor Ariza was back at practice and is up to 100 percent. He will be ready to go and back in head coach Mike D’Antoni’s lineup on Friday night when the Rockets host the Minnesota Timberwolves in a primetime game.

Additionally, Houston also does not have any players listed on their injury report, according to Rockets beat writer Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.

Ariza, who has missed the team’s last nine games due to a strained left hamstring, told sports director Mark Berman of Fox 26 Houston after practice that he is good to go for Friday night’s game.

“I feel good. Hamstrings are kind of tricky so when you think you’re ready, you won’t be ready. You’ve got to always take your time,” Ariza said on Wednesday. “The great thing about my situation is we’ve got a great training staff, an unbelievable training staff, and very supportive teammates. The long time out has been great.”

The Rockets are currently on a 10-game winning streak, which is the second-longest active streak in the NBA behind the Utah Jazz. With Ariza back after his nine-game absence, forwards Luc Mbah a Moute, P.J. Tucker and Ryan Anderson will likely have their minutes reduced a bit by coach D’Antoni.

In 44 starts this season for Houston, Ariza is currently averaging 12.1 points on 42.4 percent shooting, 4.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.5 steals per game in roughly 35.0 minutes of action per contest. He is also averaging 2.7 three-pointers made per game and is shooting 38.3 percent from behind the arc.
