Rockets star James Harden reacts to All-Star starter nod

For the seventh consecutive year, James Harden of the Houston Rockets will play in the All-Star game. Via Twitter, Harden thanked the voters for yet another All-Star selection.

JamesHarden will form part of the starting five of Western Conference All-Star team. It will be his third consecutive start and will join Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Paul George.

The Rockets superstar made up for some lost ground in the fan voting by way of the player and media votes.

Harden is playing the best season in his career so far. He’s averaging 36.3 points, 8.3 assists, and 6.6 assists per game. He’s also draining five 3-pointers in 13.3 attempts per game for 37.4 percent. From the field, he’s shooting 44.0 percent. His superhuman scoring numbers have broken and set several NBA records.

More importantly, James Harden has been carrying his team. The Rockets were one of the bottomfeeders out in the West to begin the season — a surprise to many given that they were just a win away from the NBA Finals last year.

But as expected, Harden flipped a switch and led the Rockets back to the win column. Indeed, Harden deserves to be an All-Star starter this season and, who knows, he could be hoisting another MVP trophy by season’s end.
