Rockets star James Harden questionable to face Timberwolves on Sunday

James Harden, Rockets

The Houston Rockets are listing superstar shooting guard James Harden as questionable to face the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday.

The Rockets say Harden is dealing with a cervical strain.

The reigning MVP played 42 minutes on Friday versus the Phoenix Suns. Harden finished with 41 points, nine rebounds and 11 assists in the Rockets’ 108-102 win over the Suns at home.

Houston is 43-26 on the season, which is good for third place in the Western Conference standings. The Rockets are 9-1 in their last 10 games.

As we all know, James Harden is having a stellar season. The Beard is averaging 36.1 points, 6.5 rebounds and 7.6 assists per game while shooting 43.7 percent from the field, 35.5 percent from beyond the arc and 87.6 percent from the free-throw line.

Harden has 27 double-doubles and six triple-doubles on the season. The seven-time All-Star has only missed four games all year long.

The Timberwolves are one of the worst teams in the NBA on the road. Minnesota is just 9-27 on away games this season. So even if Harden doesn’t play on Sunday, the Rockets should be able to defeat the Timberwolves with ease.

It’s been an amazing turnaround in Houston this season. At one point, the team was in the 14th spot in the Western Conference standings. Harden has literally put the team on his back.
