Rockets star James Harden has most 3-point attempts in a month for any player ever

James Harden

Houston Rockets star James Harden after his contest on Tuesday against the New Orleans Pelicans has set yet again another record.

He attempted 233 three-pointers in the month of January, which is more than any other player in the history of the NBA.

Harden has been on a tear for the last month or so. Without the services of Chris Paul being around, Harden has had to carry the Rockets by himself.

In doing so, he’s had the best stretch of time from any offensive player in the history of basketball.

The Rockets aren’t a very deep team. In fact, Austin Rivers and Kenneth Faried, two waiver pickups during the season, are now getting vital minutes in the rotation. It is quite literally the James Harden show. There is no shot creation outsider of him (unless you’re counting Eric Gordon).

What he’s been able to do this past month or so is nothing short of remarkable.

Harden on Tuesday game so close to a triple-double, scoring 37 points with 11 rebounds and six assists. He took 32 shots and only made 11, but was also nine of 10 from the free throw line.

His ability to slither in the lane and get fouls drawn on him is unheralded. He’s so quick and agile and yet strong at the same time. His nasty stepback that’s kind of a travel but isn’t called is literally unguardable.

There is nothing you can do to stop Harden.

He’s the best isolation scorer since Kobe Bryant, and right now, he’s even better.
