Everyone and their mother knows how James Harden is playing out of his mind this season. In fact, he had another 50-point performance this season that puts him closer to the lofty heights set by two NBA legends.

According to ESPN Stats & Info, The Beard is closing in on His Airness and The Black Mamba when it comes to scoring 50 points against a set number of franchises.

Harden has scored 50 points against 15 NBA franchises, which is only two short of the record set by Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.

During the Rockets’ surprisingly close fight against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Harden exploded for 55 points, three rebounds, eight assists, two steals and two blocks. The impressive part about this specific performance was that he made ten 3-point shots and only had five free-throw attempts during the 41 minutes he was on the floor.

If Harden wanted to do it, he could easily do it in his sleep. He has been playing incredible basketball to bring the Rockets to 16-8 and fourth in the Western Conference standings. The Beard is averaging an insane 38 points, seven rebounds and four assists a night. His court vision, range and craftiness to finish has made him into one of the most elite ballers in the world.

Harden is playing so good that plenty of defenders in the NBA are finding it hard to stop him. Toronto Raptors star Pascal Siakam named him and Kevin Durant as the toughest players to guard in the entire league.

James Harden undoubtedly going to become one of the best to ever play the game, and it’s likely going to be a matter of time before he gets to set the new record over Jordan and Bryant.
