Rockets players plan to work out and practice together before the start of training camp

The Houston Rockets plan to work out and practice together before the start of training camp, according to Alykhan Bijani of The Athletic.

The Rockets have done this the past few seasons. Last year, Houston trained in the Bahamas before the start of training camp.

The Rockets acquired former MVP Russell Westbrook from the Oklahoma City Thunder. Westbrook and James Harden already know each other’s games, but Westbrook has never played with Clint Capela, Eric Gordon, P.J. Tucker, Austin Rivers or Gerald Green.

Houston also signed veteran big man Tyson Chandler in free agency. These trips are used for bonding and working out together, and can only make the team better in the long run.

With Westbrook in the mix next to Harden, the Rockets have a great chance to win the title in 2019-20. Westbrook is a walking triple-double, while Harden is arguably the most explosive scorer in the game.

Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni figures to have a lot of fun working with Westbrook and Harden. All signs point toward Harden getting along with Westbrook better than he did with Chris Paul. The two MVPs are like brothers off the court.

The four best teams in the West next season figure to be the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Houston Rockets and Utah Jazz. Rockets fans are hoping Westbrook and Harden can lead Houston to the promised land.
