Rockets news: Short video hypes up pairing of James Harden, Chris Paul

The Houston Rockets made the huge splash just prior to the start of free agency of acquiring All-Star point guard Chris Paul from the Los Angeles Clippers that has generated much hype around the team.

In light of that, there has been a hype video created that is centered around All-Star guard James Harden playing with Paul this upcoming season.

This could be quite an interesting pairing given that two have operated on offense similarly over the last several years as ball-dominant players. In fact, Harden had made that an even greater emphasis on his transition last season to being the starting point guard where he excelled tremendously leading the league with 11.2 assists per game.

Since entering the league, Paul has been the primary ball handler for every team that he’s played for and may change drastically playing alongside another player that has worked well with that responsibility. That said, the 32-year-old has a proven track record of excelling in that role while leading his team to plenty of success in the process.

What this points to more than anything else is that there will be a significant adjustment period for both players. If they can figure out a way to effectively divide up the ball handling duties, it could make the Rockets into quite a formidable team in the Western Conference that could pose an intriguing challenge to the Golden State Warriors.
