In the last few months, Houston Rockets All-Star guard James Harden has been the beneficiary of many major opportunities due to his strong play on the court.

The latest came on Thursday morning as it was announced by EA Sports that Harden will be the cover athlete for NBA Live 18.

This is a tremendous honor as a select few players have received the chance to grace the cover of a video game for their respective sports. However, this is a credit to the work that Harden has put in over the last few years to earn the recognition as being one of the players in the NBA.

The 27-year-old’s performance on the court had also recently earned him a record-setting contract extension worth $228 million over four years. This will give him a mind-boggling average salary of $42.3 million over the deal.

He also had another sneaker for his Adidas shoe line recently drop just several days ago. If he keeps performing at the level that he has been for the last couple of seasons, many more opportunities should arise.

NBA Live 18 is set to be released for PlayStation 4 and XBox One on Sept. 15 while fans can preorder the game from the EA Sports website ahead of time.
