Rockets news: James Harden on Carmelo Anthony trade rumors

Throughout the entire offseason, Carmelo Anthony has only been willing to waive his no-trade clause for the Houston Rockets. With the New York Knicks not interested in Ryan Anderson’s remaining three-year, $60 million deal, it appears Anthony will be joining them in training camp.
With James Harden being joined by Chris Paul heading into the 2017-18 NBA season, he was asked about the Anthony-to-Rockets rumors according to Alykhan Bijani of ESPN:
James Harden on trade rumors w/Melo: “I try to block it out and let the front office deal w/that. I just focus on getting comfortable w/CP3”

At this point, it appears a third team will need to get involved in order for the Rockets to land the 10-time All-Star forward. While the Portland Trail Blazers have been mentioned as the potential third team, the Knicks new front office is not going to make a trade just to make a trade.
Having said this, it is time for the Knicks to embrace a full rebuild around Kristaps Porzingis. As Porzingis establishes himself as one of the best players in the league, Anthony will have a better chance of trying to win his first championship with Paul and Harden at this stage of his career.
