The Houston Rockets have created a new buzz around the organization after the offseason acquisition of Chris Paul from the L.A. Clippers that has shifted the dynamic in their backcourt.
There is much question as to how the pairing of Paul and James Harden will work out next season in their first season playing together. With that in mind, the duo recently made light of the situation in a new commercial for Madden 18.
The hilarious commercial aside, the duo has the task of learning to play alongside each other this upcoming season effectively. The biggest adjustment will likely come with how the two split the ball handling duties offensively.
Paul has held that role for each team that he has played for while Harden has assumed that responsibility since being traded to the Rockets several seasons ago. What makes this more intriguing is that the two have shown to operate more efficiently with the ball in their hands rather than playing off the ball.
It’s is something that they will have to figure out first to get the most of their pairing next season. If they can find fluidity playing off each other, it could make them into a serious challenger to the Golden State Warriors.
