Rockets news: Chris Paul yells at James Harden for not going for layup at pro-am game; Harden dances

James Harden, Chris Paul

James Harden and Chris Paul are already taking time to get to know each other.

The new Houston Rockets teammates have teamed up in pro-am events like the Drew League to share the floor together and begin to develop chemistry.

During this experience, an interesting interaction between the two took place when Paul clearly became puzzled with Harden for not taking a layup on offense, prompting a pretty funny response from Harden.

The two are obviously just having fun during the summer and not taking things too seriously, but Harden just dancing back at Paul while his point guard gives him instruction is a pretty funny sight.

Next season will be an interesting one for the Rockets as they look to integrate Paul into already one of the most prolific offenses in the NBA. In the first season under Mike D’Antoni last year, Harden had a near MVP season running the point and revolutionizing the position to an extent. He’ll likely move back off the ball more next season with Paul around, who is known for dominating the ball as much as anyone in the league.

The mix will be intriguing and the time the two are spending together this summer getting acclimated with each other’s games is surely valuable.
