Rockets news: Chris Paul on playing with James Harden

One of the many big moves that began what turned out to be a busy offseason around the league was All-Star point guard Chris Paul being traded to the Houston Rockets.

This has put Paul in place in the backcourt alongside fellow All-Star guard James Harden, which he has already voiced much excitement about the newly-formed dynamic.

The two have an opportunity to make the Rockets an even more explosive offensive team this upcoming season behind the play of Paul and Harden. They are two of the best players in the league that have both shown the ability to be highly effective playmakers with the ball in their hands as not only scorers but also passers.

It’s an element of their respective games that could make them a nightmare matchup for any opposing defense this upcoming season. The only question at this point is how the ball-handling duties will be split between them given that they both have excelled in that role.

Paul may ultimately take up a bit more of those duties due to his years of experience playing purely point guard as to where Harden is coming off his first campaign in that spot. Either way, the Rockets could be in store for an extremely exciting season behind their All-Star backcourt.
