Houston Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni and Milwaukee Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer have been named the NBA Western and Eastern Conference Coaches of the Month, respectively, for games played in February.

The Rockets went 9-2 in February, while the Bucks went 10-1:

Budenholzer is the reigning NBA Coach of the Year. He guided the Bucks to the best record in the NBA last season and Milwaukee once again has the top record in 2019-20.

Budenholzer and Giannis Antetokounmpo could both win Coach of the Year and MVP again, respectively. Giannis is putting up 29.9 points, 13.8 rebounds and 5.8 assists on the season in 54 games while shooting 55.4 percent from the field, 31.6 percent from beyond the arc and 62.5 percent from the free-throw line.

D’Antoni and the Rockets, meanwhile, are 39-20 overall on the season, which is good for fourth place in the NBA’s Western Conference standings. The Rockets are the only team in the NBA with two MVPs leading the charge. Once the playoffs start, Houston will ultimately go as far as Russell Westbrook and James Harden can take them as they lead their super-small-ball revolution.

Budenholzer and the Bucks are expected to win the Eastern Conference this season since Kawhi Leonard is out West playing for the Los Angeles Clippers. The Rockets, meanwhile, will try and spoil an all LA matchup from happening in the Western Conference Finals between the Lakers and Clippers.
