Rockets, Mavs among teams interested trading for Grizzlies’ Andre Iguodala

A current member of the Memphis Grizzlies and a former NBA Finals MVP, Andre Iguodala has garnered interest from the Houston Rockets and the Dallas Mavericks, among other teams.
Per Tim MacMahon of ESPN, the Grizzlies — where the Golden State Warriors sent him via trade — plan to explore trade options for the veteran forward. Previous reports reveal that the team intended to negotiate a buyout.

Initial reports, too, say that if the buyout had pushed through, Iguodala would likely end up with the Los Angeles Lakers since general manager Rob Pelinka was his agent before.
This move is one of the many efforts that the Grizzlies have done to acquire young talent with hopes of rebuilding their roster. After almost a decade of partnership, they decided to move away from Mike Conley, who had been their centerpiece. Recently, they acquired young guns Grayson Allen, Josh Jackson, and De’Anthony Melton, as well as other future picks.
From the looks of it, they are looking to get more pieces in exchange for Iguodala. Wherever he goes, the 35-year-old will bring along with him a hefty resume headlined by three championship rings and one Finals MVP trophy, not to mention his innate basketball intelligence which has garnered praise from his peers.
