Rockets locker room puts up caution tape on doors leading to secret passageways
In lieu of their post-game incident with the L.A. Clippers in January, the Houston Rockets attached strips of caution tape to the exterior of their locker room door after Wednesday night’s meeting as a bit of a joke. There were no security guards this time, but the message was clear.

Tempers ran high in their January meeting, as hoops fans might remember. According to most reports, several Rockets players made their way to the Clippers’ locker room by way of a “secret passage,” seeking a confrontation. However, they were escorted off by security before any physicality could break out.
Wednesday night’s game wasn’t as chippy. Rockets guard James Harden knocked down 17 points in the first quarter alone. Houston never looked back as they cruised past the Clippers, 105-92, marking their 14th consecutive victory.
“The Beard,” as Harden is known, led all scorers in Wednesday night’s game, posting 25 points on 7-14 shooting from the field (3-10 from beyond the arc), seven assists, three rebounds, two steal, and one block in his 33 minutes of playing time.
You may have seen this little step-back number from Harden over Wesley Johnson on SportsCenter…

“I was just trying to figure out what he was doing,” Harden told ESPN of his step-back shot over Johnson. “I didn’t know.
“I was looking at him and he was looking at me,” Harden said. “I was thinking, `What are you doing?’ I was going to shoot it, but I was waiting to figure out what was going on. I was confused. And then I shot it.”
Harden and the Rockets, now the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference with a 48-13 overall record, will look to keep their momentum rolling on Saturday night, as they’re scheduled to host the Boston Celtics. Tip-off inside the Toyota Center is set for 8:30 p.m. EST with ABC having live broadcast coverage.
