It looks like the reporters who cover the Houston Rockets are going to enjoy covering the newest member of the team, power forward Kenneth Faried.
According to Matt Moore of the Action Network, Kenneth Faried sometimes refers to himself in the third person while doing his postgame interviews.
Faried’s nickname is The Manimal.

Kenneth Faried spent the first seven years of his NBA career with the Denver Nuggets. He got the nickname The Manimal because of the high energy he played with every time he was on the floor.
Faried’s first five years with the Nuggets were great. His last two were not, and Denver traded the big man to the Brooklyn Nets last summer. The 29-year-old finished his Denver career with averages 11.4 points and 8.1 rebounds in 441 games.
Chicago Bulls power forward Bobby Portis spoke in third person in the 2015 season, telling Chicago reporters, “Once the time comes, I’ll show the world what Bobby Portis can do.” Looks like Kenneth Faried was the first player to start it, though.
Faried signed with the Rockets on Monday. He’s going to be a big addition to the team. Starting center Clint Capela is out for four-to-six weeks after undergoing right thumb surgery, so Faried was added to the team to give Houston more front court depth and a player who can be a good rim-roller for James Harden and Chris Paul when CP3 comes back from his hamstring injury.
