Rockets’ Kenneth Faried likely out the next 3 games
Houston Rockets forward Kenneth Faried will likely miss the next three games to recover from an adductor strain that he sustained in a game against the Charlotte Hornets last week:
Faried likely doubtful for Monday as well. Had MRI which showed the strain, left from trying to draw a charge in Charlotte last week. https://t.co/VZrzWvBQLK

Initially, the Rockets thought Faried was simply dealing with hip pain. However, MRI scans revealed the groin injury, which is a touchy one to recover from. He has already been ruled out for the weekend, and it sounds like he’ll miss Monday’s game against the Hornets as well.
Faried, now 29 years of age, has made 16 appearances with the Rockets this season, racking up averages of 14.9 points on 60.2 percent shooting from the field (46.2 percent from beyond the arc), 9.4 rebounds, an assist and just under one block (0.9) in 27.9 minutes per contest.
In other Rockets-related injury news, Iman Shumpert is listed as questionable for Friday’s game against Philadelphia. He’s missed three games due to a sore right calf, but head coach Mike D’Antoni is hoping that Shumpert will be back on the floor soon.
The Rockets are riding the wave of a six-game winning streak. Without a doubt, they’ll be looking to keep their momentum rolling in Friday night’s matchup against the Sixers. Tip-off is set for 8:00 p.m. ET inside the Toyota Center, with ESPN having live broadcast coverage.
