Rockets’ James Harden won’t rule out using one-legged, step-back 3 in the regular season

Houston Rockets star James Harden made a lot of noise on social media once again when a video of him hitting a one-legged 3-pointer went viral.

Now, he’s thinking of doing that regularly next season, per ESPN’s Tim McMahon.

“With basketball, you have to be creative. This is my 11th year, and every single year I want to get better. I don’t want to stay the same. You’ve got to find ways to keep growing.”

Harden has been one of the most unstoppable offensive forces in the NBA ever since being traded to the Rockets in 2012-13. His step-back 3-pointer has become his signature shot, and now, the one-legged jumper could become a part of his arsenal.

The Rockets are expected to be one of the best teams in the West, especially after adding Russell Westbrook last month. Harden is still expected to be the focal point of the team’s offense, which is why he keeps on finding ways to improve his game, even though he’s already recognized as one of the best players in the league. The Beard understands that his championship window is slowly closing, so he wants to make sure that he’s always the best version of himself moving forward.

Harden is extremely motivated to become even better next season because he feels that he should’ve won another MVP award. Don’t be surprised to see him score 30 points on a nightly basis once again, but whether that will finally propel the Rockets to the NBA Finals remains to be seen.

So far, it hasn’t happened yet.
