Rockets’ James Harden scores 31 points in first half vs. Knicks

James Harden, Rockets

Houston Rockets star guard James Harden’s scoring prowess was on full display on Monday in the first half against the New York Knicks.

Harden, who is well on his way to leading the NBA in scoring for the third consecutive season, dropped 31 points against the Knicks in the first half:

What’s incredible about this is that Harden was in Los Angeles earlier today at the Kobe Bryant memorial. Russell Westbrook and PJ Tucker were there too.

Westbrook isn’t playing tonight because of a thumb issue, but the Bryant service — given how emotional it was — could be another reason why Westbrook wasn’t able to give it a go and that’s completely understandable.

Harden entered Monday averaging 35.2 points per game for the Rockets.
