James Harden and the Houston Rockets squared off against the Golden State Warriors on Christmas. It was supposed to have been a matchup of megastars, but the Dubs were without the services of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson due to injury. Despite this fact, Golden State carried the day behind a strong effort from Draymond Green.
Following the Rockets’ 116-104 loss, Harden was asked to comment on what is was like to play against a Golden State team without Steph and Klay:

Curry is dealing with a broken left hand. He’s doing some cardio work, but he won’t be re-evaluated until February. Thompson, on the hand, is recovering from a torn ACL that was sustained in Game 6 of last season’s NBA Finals. He might be able to return
Though the Rockets were defeated on Christmas, they’ve played well through the first third of this season. They’re currently 21-10 and first in the Southwest Division standings.
Harden is having another huge season for the Rockets, scoring at a career-high clip of 38.1 points per game. The former MVP and the Rockets will be back in action on Saturday night, when they’ll serve as hosts to the Brooklyn Nets. Tip-off inside the Toyota Center is set for 8:00 p.m. ET.
