Rockets guard Chris Paul buys 9-bedroom mansion in Texas

It has been several months since All-Star point guard Chris Paul has been traded to the Houston Rockets.

The 32-year-old has clearly taken a strong liking to the city to the state of Texas after recently purchasing a nine-bedroom mansion, according to TMZ.

It is a massive mansion that was listed for $8 million that includes 14 bathrooms, a six-car garage along with exclusive Jack Nicklaus designed golf course. Beyond just this being a major purchase for Paul and his family, it will immediately lead to the assumption that he could be thinking about remaining with the Rockets long-term past this season.

He is set to become a free agent next summer but has remained open to the idea of re-signing with Houston next offseason. The team has made a strong impression on Paul through the first few months of the season holding one of the league’s best records heading in Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers at 25-9.

Paul has fit in quite smoothly with the Rockets on the court alongside James Harden averaging 16.5 points on 46.6 percent shooting from the field and 40.8 percent from beyond the arc along with 8.8 assists, tied for a team-best 5.1 rebounds, and 2.1 steals in 17 games played this season.
