Rockets GM Daryl Morey takes shot at NBA on TNT crew

Daryl Morey

Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey loves his team.

He loves it so much that he will do whatever it takes to defend them, even if that means taking to Twitter with some beef.

During TNT’s “Inside the NBA” broadcast after Thursday night’s double-header slate of games, the crew said some things about the Rockets to which Morey took exception.

He responded with a rather hilarious tweet.

But Morey wasn’t the only member of the Rockets organization to comment on what the NBA on TNT crew said of the team. The official Twitter page of the Rockets also chimed in. Make sure your sound is on for this one.

The Rockets are good. Very good. They have the second-best record in the NBA, are tied for the fewest losses (four) and have a high-octane roster that features James Harden and Chris Paul.

Houston beat the Jazz on Thursday behind huge efforts from Paul, Harden and Ryan Anderson. That game was aired on TNT. But Charles Barkley just had to say some negative things about the team.

Barkley often makes sound points, but he often likes to spout hot takes. Morey and the Rockets clearly don’t like it, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Keep tweeting, Morey.
