Rockets’ DeMarcus Cousins gets two technical fouls in 3 minutes, tossed out vs. Mavs

Rockets, DeMarcus Cousins

Houston Rockets center DeMarcus Cousins apparently needed an early shower on Monday evening against the Dallas Mavericks, as the veteran NBA big man was quickly ejected from the Western Conference clash.

Cousins actually pulled off quite the impressive feat en route to picking up not one but two technical fouls in just three minutes of game action.

Of course, in the NBA, two technical fouls leads to an automatic ejection. Cousins couldn’t even make it more than a few minutes against the Mavs. It was a very busy three minutes for Cousins as well, having tallied four points and three rebounds before getting the boot.

The 30-year-old DeMarcus Cousins is currently in the midst of his first season as a member of the Rockets after encountering several injury-plagued seasons in years past. In addition to suiting up for the Houston this 2020-21, the former Kentucky Wildcats standout and No. 5 overall pick has also spent time with the Sacramento Kings, New Orleans Pelicans, Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers.

Cousins technically won a title with the Lakers last season, but he did not see any regular season or postseason action as a member of the Western Conference franchise due to injury.

The Rockets entered Monday’s game at an even 2-2 to start the season.
