Houston Rockets point guard Chris Paul says the commitment and determination that Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Derrick Rose has is something young players can learn from when they are going through hard times.
Rose has suffered four knee injuries since winning the MVP award in 2011, and while he has come close to walking away from the game in the past, the former MVP is having a resurgence this season in Minnesota and playing the best basketball of his career since the 2011-12 campaign.
Paul has an extensive injury like Rose, except Paul has never had knee surgery. Still, CP3 can relate to what Rose has been through and says he’s happy to see D-Rose playing at a high level this season for the Timberwolves:

In 41 games this season, Rose is averaging 18.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists per contest while shooting 47.7 percent from the floor, 40.2 percent from beyond the arc and 85.4 percent from the free-throw line.
Rose’s 18.2 points per game is the highest of his career since the 2011-12 season with the Chicago Bulls.
Rose scored a career-high 50 points on Halloween at home against the Utah Jazz. For a player who has had four knee surgeries, it was a performance that moved a lot of people because it showed that hard work does eventually net good results.
