Rockets’ Chris Paul knows Jazz will be ‘a lot more comfortable going into their home court’

Chris Paul

The Houston Rockets blew out the Utah Jazz in Games 1 and 2 at home, but Rockets All-Star point guard Chris Paul knows Utah will be “a lot more comfortable going into their home court” for Game 3 and 4.

The Jazz went 29-12 at home during the regular season and have one of the most electric crowds in the NBA.

Fortunately for Paul and Rockets, Houston went 2-0 up in Utah in the 2018 Western Conference Semifinals.

“They have been here, we have been there, so it’s two teams that are very familiar with each other,” Paul said, via Eric Woodyard of the Desert News. “For us, we got enough vets to know that we did what we’re supposed to do. We supposed to win your home games, so Game 3 is a big game for us, and we know they’ll be a lot more comfortable going into their home court with their home fans but fortunately we’ve been there before.”

The Rockets went 1-1 at Utah during the 2018-19 regular season. You know the Jazz are going to be playing with a lot of energy in Game 3 since they can’t afford to go down 0-3.

The fans in Utah, who are already hostile, are going to be even more antagonistic in Game 3. The Rockets, though, have a lot of veterans on the team, led by Paul and James Harden.

At this point in their careers, nothing fazes the two All-Stars.
