This seemed to be poking fun at the picture of good friend LeBron James sitting on the end of the bench and well away from his teammates during the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss to the Indiana Pacers:

Paul and Gordon have been teammates for two seasons now with the Rockets, but they go way back and actually at one point were traded for each other. After David Stern vetoed Paul getting traded to the Lakers, he was sent to the Los Angeles Clippers for Gordon.

Last summer, Gordon talked about being traded for Paul and how things have since come full circle:

“It’s crazy,” Gordon said via the Houston Chronicle. “We talked about it all summer. We went through that trade. Now, we’re here as teammates. But I think we’re both in a great situation where we really have a chance to win a championship. This is probably the best team both have us have been on.”

Gordon and Paul are both huge parts of the Rockets and are going to be key this season if they want to compete with the Golden State Warriors and finally get Paul over that hump to win an NBA title.

The Rockets currently sit with a 32-22 record, which is good enough for fifth place in the Western Conference and puts them 6.5 games behind the Warriors.
