Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant is set to undergo an MRI to determine the severity of what has been deemed a calf injury:

Durant suffered the injury in the third quarter of Game 5 against the Houston Rockets. He was attempting a jumper when he landed awkwardly without any contact from Iman Shumpert, who was guarding him during the play:

It was later announced that the 30-year-old All-Star and reigning Finals MVP suffered a strained left calf. He finished the game with 22 points, five rebounds, and four assists.
The Warriors managed to pull out a 104-99 win without Durant for the final 14 minutes of the game. They now lead the series 3-2.
Kevin Durant has been spectacular for the Warriors in the playoffs, averaging 34.2 points while shooting 51.3% from the field and 41.6% from beyond the arc. A prolonged absence would hurt Golden State’s chances of winning a third straight title.
As of right now, he’s slated to miss Friday’s Game 6 in Houston, and it is unclear just how long he may be out. The timetable for Durant’s return will depend on the extent of his injury, and there are several different grades of calf strain. If it’s anything worse than a Grade 1 calf strain, his postseason could be in jeopardy.
