The Houston Rockets may play shorthanded on Thursday versus the Utah Jazz, as Nene is questionable due to a left corneal abrasion. However, Ryan Anderson is probable, and remains on track to see action on the night despite being hampered by a sore back, according to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.

Anderson’s availability is a huge boost to the Rockets, as he provides them with a proven stretch big, who can shoot the lights out from beyond the arc. He has been knocking down 2.9 3-pointers a game this season, together with his averages of 12.2 points and 5.5 rebounds in 29.1 minutes.
This is the first time Nene’s injury has been reported, and it’s unclear when he suffered the eye abrasion. Even if he’s only seeing limited minutes per game, the Brazilian international center is a fixture in Mike D’Antoni’s rotation, and is producing solid numbers night in and night out.
Should Nene be forced to sit out the game, Clint Capela could be given extended minutes at the five spot. Luc Mbah a Moute may also see an uptick in his usage, depending on matchups, and if D’Antoni decides to field in a smaller lineup.
