Report: Lakers, Rockets, Mavs, Clippers, Nuggets all have interest in Andre Iguodala
The Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets all have interest in Memphis Grizzlies small forward Andre Iguodala, according to Marc Stein of The New York Times.
It looks like the Grizzlies aren’t going to buy out Iguodala, as they want to get something in return for the veteran swingman. Memphis acquired Iggy from the Golden State Warriors on July 7.
On a long list of teams interested in Andre Iguodala — Lakers, Rockets, Mavericks, Clippers, etc. — don’t forget Denver. The Nuggets want to bring Iguodala back to the Mile High … as revealed in last week’s @nytimes newsletter. Sign-ups here: https://t.co/KwfHrDo8bs pic.twitter.com/IJONATNmdI

Andre Iguodala is set to make $17,185,185 next season, the final year of his contract. The 2015 Finals MVP would be a great addition to a contender. Iggy played for the Nuggets during the 2012-13 season.
Iguodala has career averages of 12.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 1,108 games with the Philadelphia 76ers, Nuggets and Warriors. The Clippers, who signed Kawhi Leonard and traded for Paul George, would arguably have the best defense in NBA history if they are able to acquire Iguodala. LAC is already going to be elite on defense with Leonard, George, Patrick Beverley and Montrezl Harrell. Adding Iguodala to the roster would make the Clippers a defensive juggernaut of epic proportions.
The Grizzlies are said to be looking for a late first-round pick for Andre Iguodala. It’s going to be interesting to see how this situation plays out.
